Dear Marybeth,

I was shocked and very saddened to learn of Tim's death from Dale. Although we have not been in touch for years I will always be grateful to both of you for the friendship and support you gave to me during our years in Michigan with Fram. Tim was always fun to be around and taught me a more that a few jokes that I still remember. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My heartfelt thanks to all who have responded. My brother was buried on St. Patrick's Day with bagpipes to soothe our broken hearts as we entered & left the church. A funeral mass was followed by a ceremony at the Veterean's Cemetary with representatives of the military. His wife Marybeth, daughter's Tracy & Tara, son Michael, son-in-law Ralph Manz & daughter-in-law Megan could not have planned a better goodbye. We, his "little sisters" (Kathy & Tricia) will miss him forever & a day...

Mary Beth,

I am so sorry about Tim's demise. Susan Hannan Duschane called me last Sunday to tell me.

Though I haven't seen you in 40 years, I have fond memories of both of you from Sacred Heart and Catholic High.

Tim escorted me to the SHS class of "56 eighth dance. And I remember back in those days,, I would look out the window to see if he was on the Ashley milk truck.

You, Tim. and your family are in my prayers.

Sincerely, Nora Poland Winstead

While at Fram between 1981 and 1997, I had a number of occasions to work and converse with Tim. I can only affirm the sentiments that many have already expressed, that Tim had a smile to light up the day and good cheer that was infectious. My condolences to Tim’s family and friends.

I worked at Liberty International serving Fram and Tim was such a wonderful mentor and inspiration. He talked about his family quite a bit and was very proud of all of you. A fine person. My condolences to you.

It was with great sadness on Sunday evening that I learned from Mike Roche that Tim had passed away.

Tim was not only a high school and college friend, but a childhood friend as well. There are many beautiful memories of youthful summer days biking to his home in Cohoes from Troy to swim at Carlson’s pool.

There is wonderful line from Capote’s The Thanksgiving Visitor: “As long as you remember me I will always be with you”.

Those memories are always with me.

Tim was the smile in our family, always the organizer. Tim always had something for everyone, especially a hug and smile. We are going to miss him deeply. But, I know he'll be there with us at those family gatherings to organize us "behind the scenes" We all love you, Tim!

I just want the family to know that Tim made that year in Viet Nam with the 1018th more bearable. His sense of humor and his friendship during that time always and will always be remembered. May your faith in G-D, family and friends get you through these times.

I can see that great smile now. Tim is coming toward me with his glass in his hand and his eyes are aglow with some mischevious intent. There is some trickery afoot, and I may well be the one who is to be tricked. But no matter, whatever the scheme, with Tim's fine hand there will be no hurt, only laughter, even from the person at whose expense the joke is made. He was one who could always brighten the day. Any day.

We will miss you Tim. Safe home, lad, safe home.
