The Barrett Family

My deepest sympathy to your family at this time.

When I first read in the paper I said I wonder if this is Billy from my class.

I went to get my yearbook and said, "My God."

And now with the 30th Class reunion coming it'll be a little somber.

If theres any type of memorial for his children I'd like to contribute.

God Bless to your family.

Dear Mrs, Barrett, Patty, and Family, I just learned about Billy's passing through a couple of classmates. I was shocked and very sad to hear. Bill was a beloved member of our class and we had so many great memories and times toghether. I know that all of his friends will feel the loss. About 4 years ago?,Bill and I ran into each other outside a video store in NK. We sat on the sidewalk and talked and caught up with everyone we had not seen in a while. Ofcourse Bill pulled out the pictures of his girls and bragged about how much he loved his girls. I remember we talked about how Patty ran marathons now and how great he thought that was. The one thing I always felt from Bill is that he loved his family and friends and would do anything for you. So sadly we will be having our 30 year class reunion on Nov.24th. Needless to say we will especially miss Bill at this time. An E-mail will be going out to all the class members that we have E-mails for. I would like to take donations and notes of memories to give to you. I think that you will now have my E-mail, please contact me if we can help in any way.
Deepest Sympathy

Dear Barrett Family,

I have often thought we were truly blessed. Twenty-five first cousins laughed, loved, played and celebrated life’s events together with their close parents, rejoicing in each other’s triumphs and supporting each other through sorrows. We were linked by an invisible chain, and now the chain feels broken. I know we will reconnect and continue to be there for one another so that the chain remains strong. As Desmond Tutu said, “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” May peace be yours, Billy, and may Claudia and your daughters find strength and healing.

Dear Claudia, Hillary and Kelsey, I'm so sorry about Bill,my thoughts of you all were mostly when you attended my grandchildrens birthday parties. I can remember the girls as babies and toddlers. They have grown now and the only time I've seen them, is at Christmas time from the picture cards you send my daughter. God bless you all.

Dear family,

When I think of Billy I think of an endearing, mischevious little brother, more than a cousin. I remember getting calls from him after one injury or another to get him into the orthopedist. I iced a few of his bruises and he always returned the favor by looking out for me. When I moved into my first apartment, Billy laughed at my attempt to make a closet out of a rod and curtain. A few days later he showed up with materals and a door, and made me a "real" closet.

He was a great friend to all of us in the "Barrett clan" and I am heartbroken that he is gone. We know he is in Heaven and at peace. I hope the love and prayers that surround his family will give strength and healing to all of you.

Love,

Nancy

Barrett family, I share your sorrow, my love and frienship with Bill go back as far as I have memory. Over these past few days while I grieve, a lifetime of incredible memories play through my mind like a great movie, growing up together, doing all the things that new england life has to offer, trips to Rocky point and red sox games, playing catch in the back yard and sleeping out in the tent as children, boating and ski trips as teenagers, college classes, golfing days and meeting for lunch during our adult lives and so many other great times far to many to mention. I will miss Bill for the rest of my days, we always kept in touch, he was always there as a confidant who would offer advice and encouragement. Bill was my friend and my cousin. May god ease your pain as we know Bill is with the almighty for no doubt Bill was a believer and a follower of christ.
Rest in peace Bill rest in peace,
your lifetime pal, Mark
