I had nothing but admiration and respect for Honorable William Dimitri, Jr. I first met him when serving as a juror on two cases he presided over and my experience was a great one. Judge Dimitri always made me feeling welcome in his court and he always made me proud that I pursued a career in the feild of law. My heartfelt sorrows go out to all his loved ones. He will be missed by all.

So, between the Dimitri's, Jackavony's, Capece's, and Rianna's, please accept my deepest sympathy to all of you.

To Carlene and family,

Your husband and father was a wonderful man. I had the honor of meeting him as a young girl through the Jackvony family. Soon he and the entire Dimitri family came to become very close to my heart. Even after my life with the Jackvony's ended, Billy, Billy Jr., and Carlene were still helpful to me when I needed them and as caring and loving as they had always been. Billy was truly one of a kind. My sincerest sympathies to you all.

Dear Doreen,

The twinkle in your Dad's eyes, his warm and tender smile, the kind words he always had for everyone will never be forgotten.

Peace and love to all of you.

Judge Dimitri was a kind, decent, hardworking, patient, and compassionate person, who as a judge treated everyone who appeared before him, even the lowest and most repugnant criminal defendant, with dignity and respect. In a field where many individuals forget where they came from just as soon as they put the black robe on, Judge Dimitri never did. He had a special place in his heart for those suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. He treated them with compassion and did everything in his power as a judge to make sure they received the treatment they needed. Our state has lost a wonderful jurist and a good and decent man.
