Dear John Kelly & family

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Pat Donovan. I am a friend of your mother's Kelly.

I just wanted you to know that you and your family are and have been in my thoughts and prayers.

It breaks my heart to think of the pain that you all are experiencing. Lois is devastated by the loss of her grandson Zach, she knows she doesn't have time to heal from this blow, she always speaks about him with such love. I know it hurts her beyond measure seeing her family suffering the way you are.

Losing a child is certainly one of the worst crosses to bear. But you know you were blessed to have had him even though the time was all to brief. He touched many people's lives. He made a difference. Isn't that what we are all here for?

Even though you don't know me I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your courage and strength. The devotion you have to each other and your beautiful children. I know it doesn't fell like it but God is there walking with you and some day ( soon I hope ) you will enjoy the things you used to and Zach will be still there with you in a very special way. Hang in there!! Know that you are not forgotton, esp. on the darkest of days.

Much love,

Pat

"For us this is the end of all the stories ... But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world ... had only been the cover and title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story, which no one on earth has read, which goes on forever and in which every chapter is better than the one before."
