WILKES-BARRE — Glenn Michael Jones, 56, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Born in Kingston on March 4, 1965, he was the youngest son of the late Philip S. and Eileen (Timmins) Jones. Glenn graduated from West Side Vocational Technical School in 1983 and was a long-time active member of the Back Mountain Jaycees.
Glenn worked as a Business Process Manager for Mondelez International, Hanover Township, for 20-plus years. In earlier years, Glenn was an assistant executive chef at Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter, and an Account Specialist at Karol Media Group, Wilkes-Barre.
He was a member of the former St. Boniface Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was also a member of various social clubs in the Wyoming Valley. Glenn loved all aspects of life, including being active in the community, cooking and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He was kindhearted and lived his life to the fullest; he always was willing to help a friend in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 30 years, Deborah Volpe; beloved son, Tyler; sister, Elaine Jones; brothers, Philip Jones and wife, Ronnie, William Jones and Robert Jones; and nieces, Kelsey and Zoe.
Family and friends are invited to visit and say farewell on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. Interment will be private for the family in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. To honor Glenn's wishes, his family will be celebrating with an Irish wake in the future.

Glenn was a fantastic and hardworking colleague. His jovial attitude and drive for being a "fixer" always left me amazed at his commitment to leave things better than he found it. Thoughts and prayers with the Jones family during this difficult time - we will all miss him.
