EXETER — Mary M. Stuccio, of Exeter, passed away surrounded by her family Saturday morning, Aug. 30, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born in the Old Boston Settlement of Jenkins Township on April 1, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Frederico and Nicoletta Colarusso Mitchell. She was a graduate of Jenkins High School, class of 1939.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Dominick F. Stuccio. Also preceding her in death are brothers, Nicholas, Anthony and Joseph Mitchell; sisters, Elizabeth Lupas, Alice Mecadon, Ann Mitchell and Della Mitchell; son-in-law, Gerald J. Connors.
Surviving are daughters, Mary Claudia Stuccio Connors, Exeter, and Cynthia Stuccio D'Alessandro and her husband, Joseph A. D'Alessandro, West Pittston; grandson, Dominick Cristofori D'Alessandro; sister, Gloria Misukewicz, Monticello, New York; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her only grandson, Dominick.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
