EXETER — Patrick Lee Pryce, 66, of Exeter and formerly Nanticoke, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
Born Jan. 14, 1952, in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late James (Red) and Alfreda (Fritz) Szatkowski Pryce. Lee was educated at the St. Francis Parochial School and graduated from Nanticoke High School, Class of 1969. He continued his education at Luzerne County Community College where he studied Hotel and Restaurant Management and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, Texas. He earned a master's degree in finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
Lee's career led him to positions in finance in the hotel industry, including Hilton Hotels. Most of his working life, he had been an auditor and financial analyst with several companies, including California Casualty and later Comcast where he was a financial analyst for many years.
Although he lived in many places over the years, including Houston, San Francisco and Philadelphia, he would spend Christmas with his parents in Nanticoke. He also spent many happy summers at their family's cottage at Lake Silkworth. He liked skiing and would spend the New Year holidays skiing at Squaw Valley, California, and Lake Tahoe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Pryce, on June 12, 2015.
Surviving is his aunt, Jean Duncan, of Nanticoke; sister-in-law, Barbara Pryce, of Catonsville, Md.; four nieces, twins, Kelly Pryce and husband, Todd Robbins, of Bethlehem, and Kimberly Pryce, of Chestertown, Md., Tracy Pryce and husband, David Hall, of Baltimore, Md., and Erin Pryce, also of Baltimore, Md.; great-niece and nephews, Keely Bakker, Pryce Robbins and Carter Robbins; as well as many cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, main site, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. James Alco as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
The family will receive friends for visitation after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in his memory be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018, or to your favorite charity.
Arrangements are in the care of Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke.
