Ernest Neil Obituary
Chambersburg - Ernest R. Neil, Jr., 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on June 14, 2021 at his home. Born September 3, 1946, he was a son of the late Ernest and Grace Hockenberry Neil.
A US Army veteran, Ernest served honorably in Vietnam. He was employed as a truck driver with Gabler Trucking Inc., in Chambersburg. He was an avid fan of the LA Dodgers and Rams and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Walker Texas Ranger.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosemary Bock Neil, whom he married on August 28, 1971; two children, Derek R. Neil of Chambersburg, and Krystal L. Neil (Tyler) of St. Thomas; one grandson, Ocean Scott Neil; and seven siblings, Mildred Burge (Jim), Mary Hockenberry, Gloria Neil, Sandy Hockenberry (Fred), Linda Hockenberry (Randy), Cindy Holtry (Ron) and Mike Neil. In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by three siblings, Roger Neil, Corbett Neil and Ginger Neil.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, June 21, 2021 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences may be offered on his Book of Memories page at geiselfuneralhome.com.

Ernie was a great person and a valued employee at Gabler Trucking and a friend to all, He loved his family and friends. In Life he was appreciated and in Death he'll be remembered. God Bless you Ernie.
