Shippensburg - Janet D. Wenger, 90, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania passed away July 22, 2021 at her church in Newville, PA. She was born on July 28, 1930 in Frederick, Maryland to Earl and Daisy (Sprenkle) Kipe. She was a very witty person. She was a housewife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved flowers.

She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Blair Elwood Wenger and their five children; Bonita (wife of Joseph) Hunter of Charleston, WV, Dennis (husband of Janet) Wenger of Newburg, PA, Donna Rhea (wife of Steven) Music of Carlisle, PA, Delores Traxler of Walnut Bottom, Pa., and Frank (husband of Charlene) Wenger of Huntsdale, PA. Janet has sixteen grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She is survived by five brothers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Wenger, a granddaughter, Elizabeth and a great-grandson, Trevon, and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Rev. Lyndell Durr officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 till 8:00PM and one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
