I'm somehow Just finding out about this and it's really shocking and hard to come up with the proper words. We were really good friends Many years ago back in our Middle school days but I remember it all quite clearly. Thanks for all the cool and funny memories and may you rest in peace bud

Z, you were the best man I've ever known. I'm sorry that I didn't get the chance to tell you how much I loved you before you were gone. And I'm sorry it took me this long to find out. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. I will see you again someday.

John, you were like a brother to me. I know you didn't realize how many people you changed, bc we are all better just for having known you. But you have made such an impact on my life, and on the lives of everyone who knew you. Dedrick and I love you so much. You'll never know. Our mother considered you a son and always will. You'll always be part of our family. You will never be forgotten, and the world looks so very different without you in it. You'll always be in my heart. Till Valhalla, brother. I love you

I did not know John Zullinger or his family. But to lose someone so young. I could never put it in words very good because they could never justice how much you meant to so many people including me. You made this world so much safer and even brighter place for what you have done. There are rare men like you. I can say that. You will be terribly miss but never forgotten. Thank you for you services. RIP

I would like to say that SGT Z was loved by all. When I first got to JBLM in 2013, SGT Z was one of my Section Sergeants and he worked hard to maintain that position. He was dedicated to what he does and very passionate about it also. I can say now that he just wasn't one of my Soldiers he was a friend. He helped my wife Amanda multiple times while I was away for training. I would like to thank him for all the fun and stressful times we spent together and he will be missed.
