Paul E. Nunemaker Jr.

Mr. Paul Edward "Ed" Nunemaker, Jr., 54, of 313 South Main Street, Mont Alto, PA, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 in his home. He had been in failing health for the past four years and critically ill for the past year. Born December 15, 1957 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Donna R. (Christman) Dunphy of Canton, MI and the late Paul E. Nunemaker, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of the Mont Alto and Waynesboro areas. Mr. Nunemaker was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1976. He was employed as head of maintenance for the Borough of Mont Alto for ten years and presently worked for Franklin County Housing Authority as a modernization coordinator. He also worked as a Dee jay under the name "Mystical Soundz", for ten years playing for weddings, local clubs and private parties. Mr. Nunemaker was a life member of Mont Alto Fire Company where he served as recording secretary on the executive board and was in charge of fund raising. He also was a member of Eagles Club, Inc., and Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, both of Waynesboro and served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of America for Chambersburg, PA and Shippensburg, PA. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-mother, Jane (Swartz) Nunemaker of Waynesboro; his step-father, William F. Dunphy of Canton, MI; his son, John E. Nunemaker of Washington D.C.; his daughter, Rebekah E. Knott of Mont Alto; three grandchildren; one sister, Penny Diane Koths of Belleville, MI; one brother, Darryl L. Nunemaker of Mont Alto; one step-sister, Diana Haire of Lillington, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, William S. "Billy" Dunphy.; and a nephew, Thomas Luke Nunemaker. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Chapel at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will be private in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends following the service in the Cafe of the church.
