Ronald Hornbaker Obituary
Mercersburg - Ronald E. Hornbaker, 81, of Mercersburg, passed away at his home on Friday morning, July 27, 2018.
Born May 15, 1937, in Chambersburg, PA, he was a son of the late Earl and Myrtle "Dolly" Reeder Hornbaker.
Ronald was a simple and friendly person. He enjoyed spending his time hunting for wildlife and mushrooms with his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing and taking trips with his friends and family to Michigan to catch salmon. Ronald was always willing to lend a hand.
Ronald is survived by five children: Dennis (Joyce) Hornbaker of Mercersburg, Sherman (Sue) Hornbaker of Fayetteville, Melissa (Tom) Morse of Springfield, LA, Karen Guyer of McConnellsburg, and Robert (Velvet) Hornbaker of Hedgesville, WV. He is survived by a significant other, Pauline Smith, and 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Leanna Hege, Beverly Guyer, Earlene Price, Raymond Hornbaker,
Ronald was preceded in death by two children, Phil Hornbaker, and Patty Routzahn, a grandchild Shawn Hornbaker, and a sister Janet Hornbaker.
A visitation will be held on Monday July 30, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, 11 AM at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home with Pastor Marc Stephson a visitation held 1 hour prior. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery.
