Donald Lunger Obituary

Donald T. "Dusty" Lunger, 67, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born in Spangler, Cambria County, on Jan. 31, 1957, a son of Barbara (Lydic) Lunger and the late Donald W. Lunger. His mother survives and resides in Rossiter.
Don was a 1975 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
He worked as a truck driver for many years for Arrow Trucking and Anderson Trucking for 31 years. In recent years, he has enjoyed driving for Health Ride.
"Dusty" had a great personality; he was laid back and very funny. It has been said that he had some "Johnny Bull" in him. In addition to his fun demeanor, he was very caring and always put others ahead of himself. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Barbara Lunger, he is survived by one daughter, Kristin Kathleen Reynolds; one sister, Shirley Ebersole of Johnsonburg; two nephews, Jonathan (Tammy) Sprankle and Donald Sprankle; great-nephew Kaden Sprankle; and great-niece Samantha Sprankle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Lunger, and one sister, Judy Sprankle.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. Online condolences may be made at www.shumakerfh.com.
