Gregory Alan Bell

1956 - 2025

Gregory Alan Bell, 69, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 8, 2025.
A resident of Palmyra since the '80s, Greg was born May 31, 1956, in Punxsutawney, to Thomas J. and Joyce (Johnson) Bell. Until the time of his death, Greg loved his family, God, and his country.
Greg served in the U.S. Army with the 401st MP Company from 1974 to 1977. He enjoyed his time as a Military Policeman so much that after the army he decided to attend the police academy. Greg became a police officer, spending his career at Derry Township Police in Hershey. After 9/11, Greg felt called to duty to join Homeland Security's first wave of Transportation Safety Administration members, where he worked until retirement.
Greg leaves behind three children, Kristin Lee, C. Jeffrey (Mollie, and Isaac Gregory (Jennifer); a son-in-law, Zachary; a dog, Meechie; sister Kelly Yarger; brother Brian Bell Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jefferson Bell, and mother Joyce Johnson Bell.
Greg's greatest joy was watching his children succeed. His hobbies included riding his Harley and working on anything with a motor. He made friends everywhere he went and never missed a cup of coffee or a chance to talk to someone new.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to two organizations that Greg passionately supported during his life, Hope Springs Equestrian Therapy, 2434 Malehorn Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425, or Wreaths Across America Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Group PA0498P.
Greg's children would like to invite his friends to lay him to rest on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full honors.
