Gregory Nelson Obituary
The son of Benjamin "Eddy" E. and Mona Louise (Smith) Nelson, he was born on July 16, 1949, in Punxsutawney.
Greg was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and Indiana University of PA.
He had served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Greg married Cheryl "Sherry" D. (Holmes) Nelson on July 3, 1971. They have shared over 53 years of marriage together.
He was retired. Greg's pride and joy was his 1967 butternut yellow Camaro that he received as a high school graduation present. Greg most loved spending time with his family and his beloved rescue cat, Burly.
Gregory is survived by his wife, "Sherry"; his three children, Kevin Nelson and wife Jen of Smithville, Jeffrey Nelson and wife Sherrae of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Courtney Nelson of Punxsutawney; his grandson, Alex Diaz; and his great-granddaughter, Cecilia Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kerry Edwin Nelson.
Per Gregory's request, there will not be a public visitation. Private arrangements are with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale. Visit www.rairighfh.com to sign Gregory's guestbook and share a condolence message.

I´m saddened to hear of Greg´s passing. I have many memories of him and his parents when they would visit my aunt and uncle, Flo and Pean Nelson, in Juneau. I am praying for the Lord to send you peace beyond all understanding during this time of grief. God bless you.
