Helen Rudzinski Obituary
Born on June 1, 1925, in Helvetia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Celia (Kostovney) Vesnesky.
On Oct. 9, 1948, she married Albert D. Rudzinski. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2006.
Helen was a homemaker and a well-known waitress at many DuBois-area restaurants, including the Pine Inn, Valentine's Flaming Hearth and Tommy D's, to name a few.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the former Lithuanian Independence Club and the George D. Montgomery Post 17 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Helen was a well-known Polish cook.
She is survived by four children, A. Joseph Rudzinski and wife Carolyn of Wytheville, Virginia, Michael C. "Polka Mike" Rudzinski of DuBois, Diane Smith and husband Gene of Brockway and Lisa Lanager and husband Chris of Clearfield; a sister, Bernice Yonushonis of DuBois; seven grandchildren, Monica Murphy, Holly Wilcox, Heidy Freund, Colby and Haley Smith and McKenna and Landyn Lanager; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Stanley, Walter and Joseph Vesnesky; and three sisters, Cecelia Sekula, Martha DeChurch and Stella Lesky.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A scriptural wake service will be prayed on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at 1:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with St. Francis Catholic School, 230 South 2nd Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.

I still miss you everyday mom. So much has happened that I wish I could talk with you and share the good & bad times. I still find myself headed to my phone to call you. We talked every day. I know you are watching McKenna & Landyn grow up and getting excellent grades & playing basketball and soccer. McKenna will be making her confirmation in March and she mentioned you as one of the best influences in her life. Although they were young at your passing they remember you so well. You left quite an impression on so many people mom! You will never be forgotten. I love you every day !

My mom was the best friend anyone could have.She was always there for me. She always made sure there was a delicious Hot Cooked meal on the table when i arrived home from work. Those sunday morning elite very tastefull breakfasts she prepared for me before I was off to the radio station to make people happy.She made me happy enjoying the breakfast together as a son and mother.That extra smile on her face always will be with me every day. Thanks for being the BEST MOM and friend in the world. We spoke in Polish Together that will never be forgotten. I always took my mom for those Friday and Saturday dinners which she so enjoyed and which i talked about on the radio. Helen was always very good to me. So sorry that she has passed away. She always had so much energy....never seemed to be tired. She had really good humor and could make you laugh. I have many childhood memories of Helen and her sister Stella visiting with my family. She was "one of a kind" and I extend my sympathy to her family.

I am so thankful my mom was able to enjoy my children and I'm so glad they have memories of her. She taught McKenna how to cook some favorite polish food & she taught Landyn some choice "words". They will always remember going to Dollar Tree with Gramma & having lunch at Peking! Can't believe she's gone. We will always miss her & love her. Rest now ma!

I have many fond childhood memories of times spent visiting my Great Aunt Helen! She truly loved her entire family. I have attached a photo of her enjoying time with our youngest son, Christopher. We are blessed to have been able to visit with her this past October.
