Tessa Dawn Ludwig

Tessa Dawn Ludwig, 48, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at Canterbury Place Family Hospice in Pittsburgh.
She was born Sept. 27, 1977, to Richard P. Reitz and Diana Stewart in Punxsutawney.
Tessa was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School, Class of 1995. She was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Punxsutawney.
Tessa worked at various restaurants in town, bartending at the Punxsy Hotel, and for over 10 years she worked at Fox's Pizza and Punxsy Pizza, but her favorite job was being a stay-at-home mother and raising her children. Tessa enjoyed campfires with friends and family, visiting with friends, watching movies and family game night. Most of all she loved watching her friends and family opening gifts for birthdays and Christmas.
Tessa is survived by her husband, Daniel R. Ludwig, Punxsutawney, two children, Taegan Ludwig, Indiana, and Hayden Ludwig, Punxsutawney; two brothers and a sister, Chad McHenry and wife Miranda, Punxsutawney, Sonya Beatty and husband John, Mahaffey, and Keanan Reitz and wife Shelly, Texas; two aunts, Georgia Frye and husband John, Cherry Tree, and Jean Lowmaster and husband Tim, Punxsutawney; and uncle Ron Reitz, Big Run, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt, Joan Stewart; an infant nephew, William Archibald McHenry; and her beloved grandmother and grandfather, Evelyn Long and William "Jerry" Long.
Friends will be received on Friday from 1 until 4 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Memorial donations may be made in care of Daniel R. Ludwig, 405 Sutton St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, to be used to start a trust fund for her son Hayden's education.
