Virginia Hill Obituary
Born in Panic, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (North) Heitzenrater.
She graduated from Punxsutawney High School and married three years later, on July 27, 1953. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to bake, sew, garden and take care of her family. During her lifetime, she was actively involved teaching Sunday school and Pioneer Girls Club and later attended Hunters Creek Bible Baptist Church in Holland, New York. She enjoyed traveling to Israel, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Alaska and out west.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Robert S. Hill; a daughter, Karen (the late Floyd Jr.) Fladie of Varysburg, New York; four sons, Jeffrey (Renee) Hill of Orangeville, New York, Robert D. (Donna) Hill of Newfane, New York, David (Amy) Hill of South Wales, New York, and John (Bonnie) Hill of Freedom, New York; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Margaret (the late James) Garzoni of Oakboro, North Carolina, John (Jane) Heitzenrater of Dothan, Al, and Ronald (Mary Kay) Heitzenrater of Walston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret (North) Heitzenrater; and three siblings, Nancy Heitzenrater, Donna Douthit and Robert Heitzenrater.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at First Bible Baptist Church, 555 Central Ave., Lancaster, NY 14086.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Homecare & Hospice, 45 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569. For more information, call (585) 591-1212.
