Willis Strouse Obituary

Willis J. Strouse, 83, Reynoldsville, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, at Penn Highlands DuBois after a short illness complicated by contracting COVID-19.
Born April 29, 1938, in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Willis H. and Amy Jane (Beck) Strouse.
On Sept. 10, 1960, he married Norma J. (Mowrey) Strouse in Allens Mills. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2016.
Willis graduated from Reynoldsville High School. He retired from Brockway Glass at Ross Mould as an inspector. Willis was a member of the Past and Present Machinery Association, Reynoldsville Grange 1825, Hormtown Rifle Club, American Legion, and the Eagles. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling. Willis attended Soldier Community Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Willis is survived by four children, Steven (Danielle) Strouse, Reynoldsville, Stacey Mitchell, Brockway, Marcie Delp, Brockway, and Melinda (Matthew) McKay, Brockway; a daughter-in-law, Alysia Strouse, Madera; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Mitchell, Keirstan Delp, Britney Delp, Haylee McKay, and Brynlee Strouse; a great-grandchild, Odin; two sisters, Lois Pifer and Gladys Peace, both of Reynoldsville; a sister-in-law, Marcella Strouse, Reynoldsville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Uno.
In addition to his parents and wife, Willis was preceded in death by a son, Dan Strouse; three brothers, King, Bruce and Earl Strouse; two sisters, Grace and Alice Peace; and a son-in-law, Cheyney Mitchell.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
Following Wednesday's visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Soldier Comm-
unity Church, Paradise United Church of Christ or the organization of the donor's choice.
