Died: November 10, 2021 in Ina, IL
Clifford "Skip" Allen Andersen, 71, of Standard passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Ina, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. Military Honors following the service. Fr. Patrick De Meulemeester will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on, Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel.
Skip was born on February 2, 1950 in Spring Valley to Clifford and Mary (Ferrari) Andersen. He married Diane Edgcomb on November 20, 1971 in LaSalle.
He graduated from Hall High School. Skip served in the United States Marine Corp in Viet Nam. He was a truck driver doing over the road hauling for Roadway and also worked for Tobler Transfer Company.
Skip was a member of the Marine Corps League in Jonesville. He was the Union Steward for Local #710 in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Andersen of Standard; one son, Nathan Andersen of Standard; one daughter Meigan (Todd) Gensler of Peru; four grandchildren, Kristan, Ben, Maureen and Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and son, Robert.
