Died: September 12, 2021 in Peru, IL
Gerald Wayne Lucas, 77, of McNabb passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at St. Margaret's Health in Peru.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia.
Dysart–Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Jerry was born on June 13, 1944 in Spring Valley to Charles Woodrow and Violet Rose (Miller) Lucas.
Jerry was a truck driver for several years but most recently operated his own lawn care service – an occupation which he enjoyed very much. Jerry lived in McNabb all his life, and enjoyed listening to his record collection and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include one daughter, Michele; one sister, Donna (Neil) Hammerich of Granville; and two nieces, Jenna (Eric) Hammerich of Iowa City, Iowa and Gail (Joseph) Klein of Stoughton, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
