Died: February 2, 2022 in Spring Valley, IL
Jack N. Morgan, 91, of Hennepin passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Margaret's Health, Spring Valley.
Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Spring Valley with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jack was born on May 30, 1930 in Star, Mississippi to Guy N. and Marie (Berry) Morgan. He married Gloria Matos Rodriquez on October 4, 1958 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
He served in the United States Navy on a naval aircraft carrier for 20 years and then served as a fireman for 20 more years on the navy base in Puerto Rico.
Jack was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Mohammed Shriners in Peoria and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hennepin. Jack also participated in the "Veterans Honor Flight".
Survivors include one son, Norman (Tammy) Morgan of Richland, Mississippi; one daughter, Sandra (Mike) Raffety of Hennepin; one brother, J.T. (Sue) Morgan of Florence, Mississippi; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria on August 19, 2014; his sister, Inez and one daughter at birth, Shirley Ann Morgan.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hennepin.

One of my memories of Jack was when he worked at the car wash in Princeton. He would always see me and say, This one's on me and laugh. At one time, they were giving a red wagon away and I won it. He was so happy that I did and asked about how my kids liked it. He loved hearing that it was being used a lot! Now, it is still being used as I pull my 1st grandson around in it. I know, he would just have a big smile over that. I know he is at peace and was welcomed by Gloria.
