PATRICIA ANN MEYER HOHENBRINK

Patricia Ann Meyer Hohenbrink OTTAWA - Patricia Ann Meyer Hohenbrink, age 97, passed away at home on November 27 after her long, courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born on July 13, 1927, to Harry and Odelia (Warnecke) Meyer. Patricia was the 3rd oldest of 11 children and enjoyed a childhood filled with hard work, fun and mischief and immeasurable love and mutual support. After graduating from Sts. Peter and Paul High School in the top of her class, Pat worked as a legal secretary for Unverferth Law Firm. She met David Joseph Hohenbrink, the love of her life, and they married on February 12, 1947. Pat and Dave had five children and spent their lives working together on a variety of successful building and business ventures. They also enjoyed lives of adventure, traveling the globe and spending "the cold months" in Florida after retirement. Pat and Dave were blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whom they loved and cherished. Pat was well known for her friendliness and kindness. She was always generous with her time and baking talents with family, friends, neighbors and others in her community. A lifelong devout Catholic, she was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Dave who passed on December 7, 2014, and by her oldest son, Gary Hohenbrink, who died March 13, 2024. Also, preceding Pat were 8 of her siblings. She is survived by her children: Keith Hohenbrink, of Herrod, Ohio, Sandra Hoeflich, of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Paula Andrysco, of Ottawa, Ohio, David L. and Susan Hohenbrink, of Huddleston, Virginia, and Gary's wife Margaret Palte Hohenbrink, of Ottawa, Ohio. Pat is also survived by her sisters, Janice Meyer Niese of Ottawa, Ohio, Marlene Meyer Looser, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Diane Meyer Warnecke, of Ottawa, Ohio. Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 pm, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service to begin at 6:50 p.m..
