THOMAS RAYMOND STECHSCHULTE Thomas Raymond Stechschulte, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Thomas was born on January 14, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Quinn) Stechschulte. He was a member and usher of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Allen County Farm Bureau, Eagles of Lima, Midwest Electric Advisor Group, and the Soil and Water Board of Allen County. He was farmer for 62 years and loved working on the farm with the next two generations who are continuing his legacy. He worked at Scot Lad in Lima, loved going to tractor and car shows, Buckeye fan, loved to travel, spending time at Marble Lake in Michigan, and attending high school sporting events of his grandkids. He also enjoyed morning coffee at McDonalds in Beaverdam, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends, and he never knew a stranger. Thomas is survived by his wife Carole (Parkins); sons, Keith (Deana) Stechschulte, Nathan (Janelle) Stechschulte, Michael (Amy) Stechschulte; daughter, Ann (Ed) Alanyak; step-son Tom (Mindy) Bassitt; step-daughters Meg (Todd) Wyss, Lisa (Denny Haferd) Harrod, Janelle (Fred) Wolford; brother George (Terri) Stechschulte; sisters Rose (Larry) Gerdeman, and Beth Varchetto; 10 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Janice Stechschulte, step-daughter Janine Bassitt, and brother-in-law Tony Varchetto Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Friday, May 23, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, Ohio, with visitation one hour prior at Hartman-Rousculp Funeral Home, 10879 St. Rt 12, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Father David Ritchie officiating. Visitation is also on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, with a Rosary service at 8 pm also at the Funeral Home.
