Betty Ann Sessions
Betty Ann Sessions (Burch, Jackson) formerly of Torrance, CA. at age 96, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on August 12, 2021. Betty was born in Farmersberg, Indiana to the late Ohlen Glenn Jackson and Blanche Hazel Herr on June 5, 1925. Betty spent most of her childhood as a mine camp kid moving place to place from Nevada to California making friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was a graduate of White Pine High School in Ely, Nevada in 1943, where she was the formal queen. Betty worked at the Bremerton WA. shipyards during WWII and settled in Torrance, CA in 1956 with her husband, Jim and their 3 children, soon after Danny Sessions was born. Betty had a wonderful 16 year career with the Redondo Beach School District where she retired as "The Head Baker." Betty loved her family immensely and had so many wonderful friends throughout her life including many that called her mom. She lived in Southwood for 65 years. She was an avid reader and journaled daily. She enjoyed the outdoors, square dancing, camping, walking and yoga. She loved family trips and was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Betty is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Cherlyn and Ben Peterson, Connie Robinson, Ronald and Debbie. Burch. Grand Children Monte Burch, Jennifer West, Erik Roth, Sarah Otis, Brent Burch, Eb Robinson, Noel Peete and 18 Great Grand Children. Betty's wishes were to be with her parents in Ely, Nevada, where her final resting place will be, surrounded by her family. She IS and ALWAYS will be LOVED and MISSED DEEPLY.
