5/9/1931 - 8/10/2021 Jack Heurlin, as he was everywhere known, was reunited in heaven with his wife of 63 years, Lora Jean, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Westminster, CO. Jack was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 9, 1931 to Robert J. Heurlin Sr. and Adele. He attended Wheaton College and then Northwestern University Dental School where he earned both a DDS and a MS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He served in the US Navy, attached to the 1st Marine Division, from 1954-1958. The majority of his life was lived in Rolling Hills Estates where he and Lora raised four children and were actively involved in Rolling Hills Covenant Church. He practiced oral surgery in his San Pedro and Rolling Hills offices for 31 years. Jack was a man of many talents, writing, singing, working in theater, hunting, fishing, and golfing. It is a source of comfort that the circle remains unbroken, that we will be reunited with Jack and Lora in the sure and present knowledge of the saving grace of our Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by John, Bob, Kathy and Cindy, as well as ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A private graveside service will be held for Jack and Lora at Green Hills Memorial Park. I worked with Dr Heurlin in the 60's for a couple of years, then sang in the choir at Rolling Hills Covenant Church with him. He was a great Oral Surgeon and was highly respected for his skill and sense of humor. In choir, he and Lora were loved and missed when they moved away. So happy that he has been reunited with Lora and in the loving arms of Jesus. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
