Beloved husband of Nancy. Loving father of Ralph (Jeri Kim) Zinner, Samuel (Walter Mason) Zinner, Marilyn (Lori Arnold) Zinner, and Jonathan (Pamela) Zinner. Cherished grandfather of Avery. Also survived by his sister, Eileen (Joseph) Flink. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park. Although I knew of the passing of Norm years ago, I believe this is the first I've seen it on Legacy.
I was always inspired of how great a family man he was. He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I ever had the pleasure of meeting.
If everyone on this planet had a little bit of "Norm" in them, no doubt this world would be a better place.

Zinner Family, Im so very sorry for your loss. I was one of Dr. Zinner first patients, and if it wasnt for him I would not be alive today. Im so saddened to find out about his passing today. I was trying to look up the number to his office as Im having urological issues again and he always has been the go to man, and too find this out is so very sad. Dr. Zinner not only saved my life but was generous to help when my grandfather was ill and also my mother, he was a genius in his field and a wonderful doctor, and will sorely be missed. I used to love going to see him throughout the years especially as a child and have him parade me around his office with pride that he fixed me.Keeping his family in thoughts and prayers. Thank you DR. Zinner for extending my life

Nancy, I had no idea that Norm had passed away until reading the AUANews today. I immediately called Diana. Please know that we are very sad as Norm was a huge part of my life. He was a wonderful man, educator, and friend, and I will miss him dearly.

I was a patient of Dr. Zinner. I am positively devastated at this news. He was the very best doctor I have ever encountered. He had treated my condition for over ten years, and because of his patience and knowledge he has put me in the best possible outcome. I was sorry to hear of Norm's passing. I was a member of AEPi at Purdue, although it was after Norm had graduated. I met him at the reunions in Chicago and he gave me some excellent medical advice which has been useful to me. I enjoyed his friendly attitude and his sense of humor (particularly his choice of email name). My sympathy on your loss.

Dear Nancy & Family, What a shock to hear of Norm's sudden passing. I worked with him for 25 years. We had a long conversation a couple of weeks ago about the pros & cons of retirement and how many years we have been in practice, including the military. We also found out we were born the same year. We had many patients in common and he certainly saved quite a few lives. He will be missed as the last of a generation to which we both belonged, a bygone era of medicine which we both loved and cherished.

Dear Zinner family,
I only met Dr. Zinner recently as he was a recommended referral. I suppose I may have been one of the last patience he operated on which was last Thursday 12th and again in his office the 13th. I just wanted to say Thank you for his service and unrelenting desire to help his patience's. He was born to be a doctor it showed he was a natural. When I saw him the next day after my surgery he comforted me and assured me saying I quote “You are going to be a little sore, so take it easy and don't worry your going to be ok young man”. Of course I'm in my mid 50's. I guess that's why he will always be Dr. Zinner to me. I will never forget him. God Bless.......

Nancy, My condolences to you and your family. Although I did not know Norm for very long, I was touched by his kindness, humor and compassion for his work. I was looking forward to seeing him at the convention next month in Atlanta.
