Patricia Godfrey
1936 - 2021
Jan 7, 1936 - Oct 19, 2021 Patricia (Pat) Godfrey was born in 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Edna (Crosby) Blood and Gilson Fayette Blood. Known as Patty, she and her younger brother (Jim) had a childhood blessed with an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pat graduated from Millcreek High School in 1954 and married her high school sweetheart, Don Godfrey. Pat and Don married on August 28, 1954; a marriage that lasted for 66 years until Don's passing in February this year. Pat's young married life included working to support Don through college, moves around the country driven by Don's Naval and FBI careers, and the addition of four children by the time she was 26 years of age. A final move to southern California (Manhattan Beach and then San Pedro) in 1968 settled Pat and her family into a full lifetime of raising kids, church-going, vacations and travels with family and friends, work, and volunteering which became a true passion. Pat was a truly kind, caring, and giving person. Pat and Don moved to San Diego in 2019 to be closer to most of their children. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Pat is survived by her brother, Jim (Janet) Crosby, children Susan (Jeff) Chelgren, Sandra Wright, Scott (Annette) Godfrey, Cyndi (Lee) England, grandchildren James Wright, Andrew Wright, Philip England, Nick (Ari) England, Maureen (Chris) Figgins, Ryan (Kyra) Godfrey, Sam (Nicolet) Godfrey, Jill Godfrey, great grandchildren Aurora and Byron Figgins, and her faithful companion, Lucky. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Little Company of Mary San Pedro Auxiliary that she served for 16 years are greatly appreciated. Checks can be made to "PLCMMC San Pedro Auxiliary" and sent to: Little Company of Mary Medical Center, Attention: Volunteer Services Dept, 1300 W. 7th St., San Pedro, CA 90732.

I´m so sorry for your loss, I met your mom at the "Y" in San Pedro many years ago. We knitted together, she was a lovely lady.
