Robert "Bob" Hatakeyama passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021 surrounded by family at his home in Torrance, California at the age of 80. Bob was born in Hilo, Hawaii on February 2, 1941 to Paul and Satoe Hatakeyama. He graduated from Punahou High School in 1959 as a star baseball player, and eventually enlisted in the Marines. Upon departure, Bob moved to California and served as a prominent employee of Parnelli Jones Enterprises until his retirement. Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and winning big in Las Vegas. Bob survived alongside his wife Jeanette, son David (Mindi), daughter Paula Nishi (Vince), as well as his four grandkids Zach, Alysse, Evan and Jayden. Bob also had an extensive family across the country, including siblings Roy, Doreen, Carol and Corrine, and in-laws Shirley, Nancy and Keith. A burial service for Bob will take place on Thursday, December 30, 2021at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California at 11am. Attire is Aloha Casual.

I worked with Bobby for many years at Parnell Jones Firestone. Then I was his eye doctor for sometime. I always enjoyed our time together, he taught me a lot about doing break and front end work. Although I haven´t seen Bobby in a longtime it sadden me to hear of his passing.
