MY FIRST THOUGHT WHEN I REMEMBERD SHAUNA TODAY WAS HER VISIT TO THE BERKSHIRES AFTER HER GRADUATION FROM TUFTS AND THE LOVELY DINNER WE SHARED IN STOCKBRIDGE. JOHN WAS HOME FROM CALF. AND WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE HER.
HE LOVED SHAUNA AND MOLLY AND CALLED THEM HIS SISTERS. THINKING OF YOU ALL TODAY!!!!

I just saw that she is gone. I remember her from high school as a lovely person. Please accept my condolences.

Andrea, we never met you but I wanted to send a note. We just learned of Shauna's passing in the Tufts alumni magazine. We met Shauna at a Tufts event when she first moved to San Francisco. She was a single gal at the time and while we didn't keep in touch well enough, we were thrilled and delighted when we heard that she met and married you, and about the birth of your girls. Shauna was incredibly warm and lovely person, she was just wonderfully positive, caring, smart and good natured and we always felt fortunate that we chatted her up at the Tufts alum buffet line and got a chance to be her friend. Sending you our deepest sympathies. She will be greatly, greatly missed.

I just received the Tufts Magazine and read about Shauna's passing. I am so so sorry. We were friendly our senior year of college and she truly was someone who could always put a smile on my face. May her memory be for a blessing.

I just read about Shauna's passing in the LVC annual report, and I was shocked to see the news. I was in LVC, living in DC when Shauna was in LVC in Baltimore in 94-95. We only got to meet during occasional retreats, but I remember Shauna's voice like it was yesterday. She had the softest, calmest, most gentle voice. And she listened wholeheartedly. Her deep laugh was contagious. One of my most distinct memories was of Shauna being delighted by a story of how I had met my then-boyfriend and wanted me to repeat it. She must have loved a good love story. I wish that Shauna and I had kept in touch--it looks like we shared very similar paths and interests. I know that you will continue to carry her light inside you until you can be with her again. And to those no-doubt darling little girls of hers, do not fear--even if you do not have clear memories of your mom as you draw older, she is part of you and will always be. Love to the whole family.

dearest Mary and Tom, and Molly, and Andreas, Mara and Carly,
I think of you everyday, each of you – as we all cling to that invisible string of love. There are no words. Only our hearts to hold one another as we stumble to find our way....
An old Hasidic teaching from the Jewish tradition names three ascending levels of how we mourn – the first with tears, the next with silence and the highest with a song.
My singing voice has yet to arrive.... meanwhile, my love flows to you.
always.

I've been remembering fondly great college days with Shauna. She was a real class act and a great friend who kept my feet on the ground and was always there when I needed a hand. Although we lost touch, I'm glad I knew her and I know that she taught me many things about how to live life in a positive, loving way - as I'm sure she did many others. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the members of her family.

Tom, Mary, Molly, Andreas, and Mara and Carly,
I am so saddened by the sudden loss of Shauna Molone from the world and my heart and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time. Shauna was one of the most amazing women I had the joy of knowing. She was so full of life, adventure, joy, giving, care, and love. We lived together (Shauna and Shawna) in Baltimore on the top floor of rowhouse near Camden Yards and had so many great conversations filled with laughter and dreams for our futures. (We also had many competitive tennis matches that kept us both on our toes!) I am so glad that she found love with Andreas and became a Mom to two lovely girls. I know that her spirit will be alive and strong in both girls and they now have an angel to watch over them. I lost my Mom as a young girl and always feel that she is never far away. The girls will cherish the letters and thoughts about Shauna as they grow. My partner Steve, daughter Isla, and I plan to attend the service and celebrate the life of Shauna. Much love to all of you as you mourn the loss of your amazing daughter, sister, wife, and Mom.

Lieber Andreas,
liebe Carly und liebe Mara.
es faellt mir immer noch schwer zu glauben, dass das wirklich passiert ist. Es tut mir so leid.
dear Tom, Mary & Molly,
each saturday Shauna came to my playgroup with Carly, and often with Andreas too.
It was easy to see that she was a wonderful mom who deeply loved her daughter and her husband.
And despite denying it, she spoke very well german too.
I can only imaging how hard it is for you, her family, to loose her.
my heart goes out to you,

When Shauna came to Baltimore, she brought her bright light with her. I remember a Christmas night here, hearing Molly, Mary, Tom and Shauna sing carols at the table long after dinner. Her friendship with my wife-to-be, Joanne (her LVC and post-volunteer housemate), and me was a wonderful support as my and Jo's love for each other grew. I can still hear Shauna and Nancy singing at our wedding, and Shauna doing so beautifully solo at Nancy's. Her joy will sound forever. Peace and comfort to Andreas, their babies and all who mourn Shauna.

Dear Tom, Mary & Molly,
My heart was just broken when Dean came in the office last week and told me that Shauna had passed away. I kept asking him if he was sure it was true. The news was unthinkable. One of my first memories of Shauna was her attending Kim's fifth birthday party at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor the night before Molly was born. She had that same beautiful smile as a young girl. I wasn't aware of all of her accomplishments and I was so very proud for her and your family. I send all of my love and heartfelt prayers to you Andreas and the girls.
Love,

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Malone,
It had been too long since Shauna and I connected, but the news of her passing has been heartbreaking. Memories of Shauna define my college years, and there is a large and significant part of my life that I shared with her and that would not have been the same without her unconditional friendship, incredible sense of loyalty and divinely quirky sense of humor. Please know how much I loved, admired, and respected your daughter, and that she and all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am a better person for having known her.
With much love, Katie
