Tommy was born in Los Angeles on September 17, 1971, and left us on September 14, 2021, due to complications from Covid-19.
Tommy is survived by his Mother, Cathy Hardt; Father, Tom Mejia; Sisters, Rebecca Hardt and Amber Mohr; Brothers, Bobby Hardt and Joey Mejia; Grandmother, Angie Mejia; and many other family members.
Tommy loved his family with all of his heart and would do anything to contribute to their happiness and well-being. When his sister, Rebecca, gave birth to her sons, Jameson and Jaxson, Tommy's love took on a whole new meaning and he looked forward to spending as much time as possible with his "babies" and these visits became his greatest joys.
Tommy loved life, he was kind, loving, compassionate, and loyal. He was forgiving and he refused to judge people. He welcomed everyone into his life.
He was happiest spending any time with family and friends. Getting his family and friends together for a meal, a party, a camping trip, or for any occasion was always cause for celebration.
He had a great sense of humor, he loved to dance, he loved to cook, and always had a passion for playing and watching sports.
Tommy was known for giving the best hugs, and he had the biggest smile to match his heart.
Tommy was deeply loved by many. He will be missed by everyone who was in his life, and he will be remembered by anyone who met him.
I hear the gate
I look for the lights
The lights turn on
I smile… and say goodnight.
The gate is quiet now
My smile will never be the same
Yet your light was so great, it will always remain
I love you my sweet Son
