Andrew Scheet Obituary

ANDREW J. SCHEET Andrew J. Scheet, 81, passed away June 3rd, 2015 in Las Vegas. He was born in Pierce County, North Dakota. He was a resident of Pahrump for 11 years, coming from Montana. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956, serving in Japan and Korea. He worked at the lead smelter in East Helena, Montana, and worked many years operating heavy equipment. He operated his own excavating business for over 23 years. After retirement he enjoyed welding horse shoes into forms of art. He was a life member of the Pahrump Marine Corps League. He leaves his loving wife, Virginia; sons Jeffrey (Sandy), James; two granddaughters, Emily (Dylan) and Briana; a great-granddaughter Madilynn. He was preceded in death by his father Gabe Scheet, mother Lena Roerick Scheet, daughter Gayle Ann Scheet, and sister Katheriine Backmeier. Andrew was greatly loved by his family and will be missed. A memorial service will be held Wed., June 10, at 1:00 pm at Lee Funeral Home.
