RON BENOIT Ron Benoit fought cancer for two years, then rolled out of bed, hit his head and died of a brain hemorrhage on Sunday, September 13th, 2020. Ronald Benoit was born in Canada, raised in La Habra, Calif. and finished his life in Pahrump. He was one of six children born to Leonard and Marguerite Benoit. He married Kathey Baird, his wife of 40 years, and they raised their older children in La Habra. In 1988 they moved to Pahrump when they and their partners purchased Astro Disposal. In 1995 their youngest niece, Bonnie, came to live with them. He was a proud and active member of Lions in both La Habra and Pahrump. Ron was President twice of the Pahrump Valley Lions and District Budget Chairman for the Nevada Lions. Words don't really explain what a fine man he was and the hole he leaves in our lives. He was loved and respected by those he touched. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marguerite Benoit; his sisters, Linda Benoit Schiller and Lenora Benoit Cunningham. Ron leaves his beloved wife Kathey; children, Paul Benoit (Michelle), William "Bill" Benoit (Kelli), Daleanne Benoit Hardwick (Jeremy), Bonnie Benoit Lynn (Aaron); step-daughter, Julia Reineman; grandchildren, Blair Ezell (Morgan), Brayden Lynn, Kevin Benoit, Isaiah Salazar, Kevin Hardwick, Michael and Jarid Lyden, Brianna, Brian and Bradley Benoit; his beloved grandson and caretaker, Trenton Morgan (Nadine); his sisters, Wendy Benoit Curb (Lisa) and Sharon Benoit Rhodes (Jim); many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends, Ken and MaryJo Petri. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10th at The Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Elks Lodge 33700 Mission Trail, Wildomar, California.
