Anthony "Tony" McMillin, 46, of Sherrard, Ill., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 30, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport.
Services to celebrate his life will begin with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m., on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, followed by visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, with military honors. Memorials may be made to the church.
Anthony Lee McMillin was born May 30, 1979, in Silvis, Ill., to Thomas and Janis (Bushee) McMillin. He was united in marriage to Crystal Saucedo on November 13, 2021.
He was a proud Marine Corps veteran, serving his country from 1997 - 2001.
For the past 11 years, Tony had worked for Vonachen Group, and was the Vice President of Directors.
Tony loved going to church, taking time to pray for those he loved, and always trying to live out his faith through the way he treated others. He would do anything for anyone, and was always ready to lend a hand, or brighten your day with a joke or funny story. He found joy in the simple things: metal detecting for hidden treasures, flying his drones, hunting trips, adding to his coin collection, camping under the stars and reminiscing around the campfire, and playing baseball or catch with his nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and quiet faith.
Tony was a giving person throughout life, and even in passing, he chose to give the gift of life to others as a tissue donor.
Survivors include his wife, Crystal; children, Tristan (fiancée, Liberty Soliz) McMillin of Ankeny, Iowa, Lauren McMillin of Davenport, Maelynn McMillin of Moline; bonus children, Dominic and Ava Saucedo-Serra of Andalusia, Ill.; mother Janis (William) Kinney of Milan, Ill.; father, Thomas (Ruth Ann) McMillin of Milan; siblings, Katie (Eric) Westmorland of Milan, Ted (Julie) McMillin of New Cambria, Mo., Mike (Erika) Heuermann of Ankeny, Nick (Allie) McMillin of Moberly, Mo., Ashley Thennis of Milan; and grandmother, Diane Bushee of Saranac, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Verna McMillin, and Jack Bushee.
