Bernard Brocker

September 6, 1957 - January 11, 2025

Bernard J. "Bernie" Brocker, 66, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the church.

Bernie was born September 6, 1958 in Rock Island, the son of Jay and Carol (Forwinkle) Brocker.

Bernie worked at Moline Public Hospital and Trinity for 25 years prior to retiring.

Bernie was a life long member of St. Mary's Church, Moline, member of the Lions Club, Coal Valley. He bowled in several leagues, won many medals while participating in The Special Olympics. He assisted with fund raising for the Juvenile Diabetes Association while living in Conway, Ark. Bernie assisted the people affected by Hurricane Katrina in Conway. He was a 1977 graduate of Moline High School where he was equipment manager for the Moline baseball team. Bernie especially enjoyed the summers spent fishing with his grandparents at their cottage in Cordova. He enjoyed volunteering at Trinity Medical Center, Bettendorf and the Republican Party in Davenport.

Survivors include his nephew, Justin Brocker, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother, Bradley Brocker.
