Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois - Caitlyn Margaret Carty, 19, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 5, 2025.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Caitlyn's memory.
Born September 26, 2005, in Silvis, Illinois, Caitlyn was the beloved daughter of Lindsay Reveal and Ronald Carty. A radiant spirit with a fearless heart, she lived her life with vibrancy, curiosity, and compassion.
She had a wide variety of talents and interests. She was a dancer and tumbler, as well as a wrestler and cheerleader while at Wilson Middle School, and also enjoyed playing volleyball.
More recently, she found joy in the simple beauty of flowers, exploring the outdoors, and reconnected with her childhood love for building with LEGO bricks. Caitlyn had a contagious smile and a magnetic presence-she truly lit up every room she entered.
Caitlyn is survived by her parents, Lindsay Reveal of Columbus, Ohio, and Ronald Carty of Moline; her brother, Craig Carty of Moline; grandparents, Vicki Carty of Moline, and Kathleen Porter of Columbus; great-grandparents, Marilyn Reveal of Alpha, Illinois, and Sally Lane of Moline; her boyfriend, Kadyn Avendano; her aunt and uncle, Brooke Carty-Wheelan and Christopher Wheelan of Port Byron, Illinois; and cousins, Nevaeh and Reece Wheelan, and Isis Hook; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ronald Reveal, Craig Carty, and James Vespermann.
