June 17, 1943 - December 7, 2025

Carol A. DeMeyer, 82, of Moline, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Unity Point Hospital, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to Mass at church.

A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Carol was born July 17, 1943 in Virginia, Ill., the daughter of George and Frances (Decker) Murphy. She married the love of her life, Ronald DeMeyer on January 12, 1963 at Sacred Heart Church, Moline.

Carol was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Cynthia (Jim) Gehn, Port St. Lucie, Fla., Daniel (Laurie) DeMeyer, St. Charles, Ill., Scott (Rhonda) DeMeyer, Moline and Robert (Clarissa) DeMeyer, Moline; grandchildren, Stephanie Carmichael, Alysia Gehn, Megan DeMeyer, Matthew DeMeyer, Mackenzie DeMeyer and Gabriella DeMeyer; step-grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda & Jeremiah; great-grandson, Marcelo and a brother, Larry (Linda) Murphy, Silvis. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Judy Platts, Marilyn Naab and Darlene Ackerman.
