Charlotte Maxine DePauw was born October 23, 1959, in Rock Island, IL, to Francis "Frank" and Melissa (Neal) DePauw.
A graduate of Rock Island High School in 1977, Charlotte pursued her passion for nursing, earning her degree from Black Hawk College. On February 14, 1988, she united her life with her beloved husband, Dean Mandle, in Rock Island.
Throughout her career, Charlotte dedicated herself to caring for others, working as a nurse in several area nursing homes and hospitals. Her commitment to the well-being of her patients was matched only by her devotion to her own family.
She found joy in simple pleasures, particularly her love for horses and expressing her creativity through yard decoration, making her surroundings vibrant and welcoming.
Above all, Charlotte cherished her time with family and friends, finding the greatest joy in their company. Her most treasured role was that of a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren. Her love and guidance will forever shape their lives and memories.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Dean; children: Joshua (Rachel) Anthony of Indiana, Jessica (Tim) Housby of Andalusia, IL, and Jennifer (Nathan) Woeber of Holt, MI; grandchildren: Ashlynn, Lucas, Brooklyn, and Logan Housby, and Everett and Graham Woeber; twin sister, Charlene (Wayne) Wardlow of Milan; brothers: Mike (Jean) DePauw of Andalusia, Dennis (Molly Forslund) DePuaw of Rock Island, and Jeffrey (JoAnn) DePauw of Andalusia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
