Constance Guthrie Obituary
October 1, 1955 - January 24, 2026
Constance L. "Connie" Guthrie, 70, of Rock Island passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus, Rochester, Minn.
Private services will be at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
Connie was born October 1, 1955 in Moline, the daughter of Leonard and Erma "Joy" (Gill) Varner. She married Kevin Guthrie on September 17, 1976 in Rock Island.
Connie was a 1973 Rock Island High School graduate. She retired in 1999 from the United States Government.
Connie enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, walking in the first snowfall and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin; daughter, Cassandra (Jadeyn) Lacey, Bloomington, Ill.; granddaughter, Emily McCandless, Bloomington, Ill.; mother, Erma "Joy" Varner, Rock Island; sister, Sondra Westmoreland, Milan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard, and brothers, Gary Varner and David Varner.
