Memorial services for David A. Lemmon, 72, of East Moline, IL, will be 4 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be 2-4PM at the funeral home. Mr. Lemmon passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home.
Dave was born February 28, 1951, in Lincoln, NE, the son of Clarence and Joan Merchant Lemmon. He married Karen Gustafson June 12, 1971, in East Moline. He retired from McLaughlin Body, East Moline, in 2020, after 31 years of service.
Dave was an avid golfer. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends. In his earlier years he spent time working and rebuilding cars and working on houses. His number one priority was his family.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Niki (Jerry) Garczynski, East Moline, Chad (Heather) Lemmon, Rock Island, IL, Ryan (Joy) Lemmon, Bettendorf, IA, and Brett Lemmon (Kelly Bartels), East Moline; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Deanna (Tom Wohlbach) Orr, Alpharetta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family or Compassus Hospice.

So sorry to hear about. Dave´s passing! We remember how he was always dealing with deadlines, being able to finish car projects.We were impressed by Dave´s work ethic! We enjoyed living as neighbors with Karen and Dave in the duplex in Silvis! Sending our love and condolences as you remember Dave´s life and his influence on the lives he touched!!!
