To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person David Patten gone to soon, who played wide receiver and won three Super Bowls while playing with the New England Patriots. He had a wonderful career in football. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with David Patten. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of David. We will never forget that he was a three-time Pro Bowler, what a tremendous goal and accomplishment.

I will never forget the day I met David. We became close friends and met the whole family through time and experience and I looked up to him for wisdom and spiritual guidance. I was so shocked to hear about us loosing "DP". The greatest man I´ve ever met. A true friend, a true believer. May god bless the family, spiritual family and love ones through these difficult times.

I met David Patten at a charity event run by Robert Kraft and The Gillette Company. We sat at the same table and since his family lived far away, he said he got sick of eating on his own. We invited him to our home for a home cooked meal. Everyone enjoyed his company and we visited him a few more times while he played for the Patriots. He was an amazing athlete and an even better person. This is a tragic loss and as he told me "Trust in God". May David Rest In Peace. He will be missed.

The Shaws Supermarket staff would like to extend deepest condolences to Galiena and the children. David was a wonderful man, would come in after his run every evening, talk of the game, read the paper to see the reviews, sign autographs when approached. A sincere, down to earth man. He played such a huge role in making NE a Super Bowl Team and made the people around him feel special. A tremendous loss for his family, Patriots nation and all those who were lucky enough to meet him. God speed our friend. Rest in Peace.
