February 17, 1953 - November 3, 2024

Debra "Debbie" J. George, 71, of East Moline, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in the care of the family.

Debbie was born February 17, 1953, in Moline, to Kenneth and Jean (Fecht) Hodgson. She married Gary George on August 8, 2005, in Sturgis, SD. Debbie worked at Valspar, retiring in 2007. She was a member of the Carbon Cliff Eagles Club.

Debbie enjoyed camping, going to music festivals, and riding her Harley. Her family was very important to her, and she always made sure to make time for her kids, grandkids, and great grandson. Debbie loved and rescued many animals.

Those left to cherish Debbie's memory are her husband, Gary; children, Steven (Kim Mates) Martinez, Rock Island, Stacy (Jeremy) Gustaf, East Moline, Marcy Martinez, Colona; grandchildren, Mickenzie, Ava, Mason, Miah, Marisa, Jenna, Adrianna, Antonio, Mattalissa; great-grandson, Khalil; siblings, Terry (Mike) Esser, Highland, WI, and Lisa (Dave) Ven Huizen, Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
