Dolly Anderson
Dolly D. Spivey Anderson of New Windsor, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 at her home. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 at New Windsor Presbyterian Church in New Windsor. Interment is in New Windsor (Petrie) Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the

Dolly was the thirteenth child of Gerald and Chlora Plunkett Spivey. She graduated from AlWood High School. After graduating, she worked for Dr. Saravia and Dr. Metz. Dolly married LaVerne "Bud" Anderson on June 1, 1958 in New Windsor. She had five children who were her pride and joy: Timothy LaVerne, Todd Spivey, Troy Bradley, and twins, Trent Michael and Trisha Dawn – her "5 T's."
Dolly lived her whole life around New Windsor. Her years on the farm were pure joy. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, listening to the birds, watching various animals, eating delicious apples right off the tree, and reading. Dolly loved taking the 5 T's on a picnic to the "Big Tree."
Dolly was a devout member of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and a Trustee. She also served on the town library board. Dolly was the chairperson of many class reunions and enjoyed every minute of it.
Those left to cherish Dolly's memories include her children: four sons, Timothy (Amy) Anderson of Viola, Illinois, Todd (Deborah) Anderson of Camdenton, Missouri, Troy (Lisa) Anderson of Dewitt, Iowa, Trent Anderson of Palm Coast, Florida, and one daughter, Trisha (Roy) Webb of Coal Valley, Illinois; 14 grandchildren: Christi, Candi, Kyle, Ryan, Kurt, Ashley, Haley, Somer, Isaac, Hannah, Dawn, and Case; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild lovingly expected; one brother, Virgil "Bill" Spivey of Cambridge, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Sheila (Jerry) Bryan of Sherrard, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, parents, and siblings: Thomas, Jerry, Rachel, Margaret, Lorraine, Beverly, Stewart, Richard, Virginia, Marilyn, and Gertrude.
