GENESEO-Dorothy E. Sherbeyn, 81, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. Reverend Stephen Mueller will officiate. A private burial, for family only, will be held on Wednesday, at Annawan Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on March 2, 1941, the daughter of Eugene and Daisy (Eggeman) Fronk, in Annawan, IL. She graduated from Annawan High School, class of 1959. In August of 1959, Dorothy married Joseph Sherbeyn. He preceded her in death in 1977. She was employed at The Deck, Geneseo, was a homemaker for many years, and was head of housekeeping at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo, retiring in 2008. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, was crafty, and loved decorating. She especially loved spending time raising her children and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kim Fischer, Wheeling, IL, Randy Sherbeyn, Geneseo, Scott Sherbeyn, Geneseo, and Tim (Blayne) Sherbeyn, Atkinson; grandchildren, Justin (Elizabeth) Baughman, Erin (William) Lansing, Nicholas Sherbeyn, Robin Sherbeyn, Connor Sherbeyn, and Jason Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Addison Jenkins and Harper Sherbeyn; sister, Barb (Bobby) Lee, Milan, IL; brother-in-law, Tom (Debbie) Sherbeyn; sisters-in-law, Joy Sherbeyn and Joanne Sherbeyn Sager.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Daisy Fronk; her loving husband, Joseph Sherbeyn; son, Steven Sherbeyn; brother-in-law, David Sherbeyn; son-in-law, Eric Fischer; daughter-in-law, Colleen Sherbeyn.
