ANDOVER-Gladys M. Reed, 92, of Andover passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday with visitation 1 hour prior to service time at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Memorials may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America.
Gladys was born May 17, 1930 in Herrick, South Dakota the daughter of John and Gertrude (Schlaht) Fitzgibbons. She graduated from Moline High School in 1949. Gladys married Charles Reed November 11, 1949 in Moline, IL. He passed away in 1992. Gladys resided in Colona for 40 years and later with her daughter and son in law. She was employed at Jaydon Inc. for 30 years. She was a member of the Atkinson Congregational Church, enjoyed playing cards, and was a Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter Dawn Bobinski; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Chuck Jr., daughter Dennise Owens, and a brother Don Fitzgibbons.
