VIOLA-Joe-Ann Fite, 80, of Viola, Illinois died Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Mercer Manor, Aledo.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20th at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be left for the family.
Joe-Ann was born April 5, 1941 in Rock Island, Illinois the daughter of John W. and Audrey Davis Hayden. She graduated from Rock Island High School. On May 20, 1961, she married Jerrold R. Burton in Rock Island, they later divorced. Joe-Ann then married Larry L. Fite on March 8, 1983. They were married until his death on March 30, 2010. Joe-Ann worked at DeSaulniers Printing in Moline for several years. While living in Florida and Texas, she worked in retail. In her free-time she liked to crochet, sew, cross stitch and go to craft shows. She loved plants and flowers. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jeri-Ann (Robert) Fite of Andalusia and Teresa (Marty) Frakes of Viola; step-children: Dion Fite and Angie Fite-Notch; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister-in-law: Patricia Hayden and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry and 6 siblings.
