Larry Wayne McHenry, 64, of Bettendorf passed away September 21, 2024 in Bettendorf.

Schroder Mortuary is assisting the family with cremation and arrangements. Services will be on Friday. September 27, at Homewood Church in Moline at 11 a.m. with Celebration of Life back at the church immediately following burial at Greenview Memorial Gardens. All services and celebration are private.

Larry was born October 23, 1959 in Moline, Ill. He is the son of the late Larry Wayne McHenry of Moline, Ill. and Doris Elaine (Flinn) Thompson of East Moline, Ill.

He worked at Franks Pizzeria, the Rock Island Lines Railroad, and Anchor Lumber.

He was gifted, enjoying the art of sketching and oil painting. He restored bicycles, and one that was a chopper he rode in many parades. He had an impressive train that extended throughout his entire basement.

Survivors include his mother, Doris; siblings Dori (Dan) Cosgrove and Teresa Jackson; children Chad Volkers, Jason Price, Ryan (Susan) Spurgetis, and Heather (Scott) Wilson; grandchildren Aiden, Lucy, Grace, Luke, and James; nieces and nephews Brian, Sean, Melissa, and Skylar-Vienna.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law Curt Jackson.
