February 16, 1942-February 15, 2021

Linda K. Fordham, 78, of Aledo, IL died Monday, February 15, 2021 at Mercer Manor in Aledo. Private services are Friday, February 19, 2021 in Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where a rosary will be recited. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be left to St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Valley of Our Lady Monastery or ALS and online condolences may be made at fippingerfuneralhome.com.

She was born February 16, 1942 in Monmouth, IL to Donald and Darlene Mathers Meacham. She graduated from the former Roseville High School in 1960. Linda married Donald R. Fordham November 4, 1961 in Monmouth. He died in 1995.

She was employed in the Mercer County Veterans Assistance office, retiring in 2002. Linda also owned and operated Fordham's Tax Services from 1969-2009.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Mercer County VFW Post #1571 Auxiliary and DAR.

Linda loved crafting and reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Kevin) Johnson of Aledo; two grandchildren, Adam and Taylor Johnson, both of Aledo; two great great grandchildren, Kayel Thomas Johnson and Rollin Keith Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister, Cindy (Jim) Waters of Sugarland, Texas; one niece; one nephew; one aunt; several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
