Lynda Hert Obituary
Lynda Jacquelyn Hert, 78, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026 at her home.
Memorial visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Memorials can be made to the Hert family.
Jacquelyn was born September 19, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of Donald and Francis (Stutz) Love. She married James Hert on November 12, 1966 in El Paso, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2000.
Jacquelyn worked for many different jobs in her life, her last being in management for Hardee's.
Jacquelyn was a loving mother and devoted grandmother.
Jacquelyn absolutely loved animals, gardening, and fishing. She was an avid fan of music, especially country. Her beloved cat, Splotch was by her side until the very end.
Survivors include her sons, James (Jewel) Hert, Rock Island and William (Valerie) Hert, Moline; grandchildren, Aaron Flynn, Mariah Powell, William (Mallory) Hindman, Amber Flynn, Ashley Hert, Ali Flynn and Jacquelyn Parcell; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron Love, New Mexico and Paul Love, El Paso, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Bernedette Gartner.
