N. Robertson Obituary
October 6, 1935 - November 11, 2025
N. LaVern Robertson, 90, of Cambridge died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18th at Cambridge Lutheran Church. Rev. Stacy Christianson and Rev. Randall Mullin will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge, with a Masonic service following at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Cambridge Lutheran Church, Cambridge Masonic Lodge, or Cambridge Ambulance
N. LaVern Robertson was born on October 6, 1935 in rural Cambridge, IL, the son of Milem T. and Myrtle (Golden) Robertson. He graduated from Galva High School in 1953. He was united in marriage to Carole Gustafson on October 11, 1952, in Galva, IL. She survives.
LaVern served with the Naval Reserve in Davenport, IA for eight years and he was an officer with the Illinois State Police for 36 years. He was a member of Cambridge Masonic Lodge, where he served as the Past Master and Grand Lecturer. He was also a member of the York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Bodies, 33rd Degree, Kaaba Shrine, and Eastern Star, Cambridge Lutheran Church, Jaycees, and Valley View Club Charter Member. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and coffee with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; sons, Willard (Felecia) Robertson, Jasper IN, Rex (Marabeth) Robertson, Moline, and Brad (Dorothy) Robertson, Tamarac FL; daughter, Teri Robertson, Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Adam Robertson, and Katy (Chris Lynn) Robertson; sister, Jackie (Rich) Nystrom, Cambridge; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lina Mae Engstrom; and brothers, Kenneth Osborne, Milem Robertson, Jr., and James Robertson.
